Dr.Brian J.G.Pereira
Chairman of NephroPlus, President and CEO of Visterra, Inc.
Dr. Brian J. G. Pereira is a renowned nephrologist and healthcare executive, currently serving as the President and CEO of Visterra, Inc., a biotechnology company. With over three decades of experience in nephrology and biopharmaceuticals, he has held leadership roles across academia, healthcare, and biotech sectors.
He previously served as President and CEO of AMAG Pharmaceuticals and held academic positions at Tufts University School of Medicine, where he is an adjunct Professor of Medicine. He has authored over 200 scientific publications and played a pivotal role in developing kidney disease treatments and advancing biotech innovations.
Dr. Pereira earned his MBBS from St. John's Medical College, India, and later obtained a Doctorate in Medicine (DM) in Nephrology, along with an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.

Dr. Rai has been closely associated with Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore, where he has contributed to pediatric healthcare, institutional leadership, and community outreach. He is known for integrating compassionate care with a strong focus on teaching and mentoring the next generation of doctors.

Currently practicing at Unity Hospital, Mangalore, Dr. Rai also serves as the Managing Director of Octaplus, where he oversees strategic operations and drives the vision for delivering quality home healthcare services.
